ABOUT M.E.

Grace Williams started Making Engineers in 2021 after noticing the high drop out rate of girls in Escambia county taking STEM classes between elementary school and high school. Her program provides middle school girls with free, year-round engineering projects and a week-long summer camp every June. She hopes that more women will pursue engineering careers, as only 15% of women comprise engineering jobs. This is the smallest percentage of women employed out of all STEM career fields.
